This blanket has a story I wanted to share. When my son was 3, (he's 7 now) we were going to move to another state, and I wanted to do something for him to comfort him, and be familiar. When I do my projects, I pay close attention to color scheme, plan things out, ect, not this time, he chose every color. When I first started, it was just big enough to go over his legs in the car seat. It had the pocket for his books and toys for our trip. (5 hours) Also I added the stars b/c he loved stars. It has grown over the past 4 years, he periodically brings it to me, like he did 2 days ago, and says, "Mom, I think it needs to be bigger, can you put more crochet on it?" So I smile and he picks out more yarn. It already has 2 boarders, 3-d elements, different hook sizes, different thicknesses of yarn, It's not your typical granny! Now I'm adding camo. As you see in the bottom, it's still attached. I think I will do the star blanket for my other son. I've made him a few, but he didn't become attached. I think this is the most special thing I've ever made. Thank you Lord for my sweet children! They're such a special blessing!
